The center window displaying dive time can alternatively be used as an independent Timer.

Audible alarm, blinking ASC TIME and upward pointing arrow notify that your dive has become a decompression stop dive and you are below the floor depth.  The floor is the deepest depth at which the ascent time will not increase.  Once you have reached the floor ASC TIME stops blinking and the arrow disappears.  The center display shows the minimum ascent time in minutes and ceiling depth, the shallowest depth to which you should ascend.

When diving in NITROX mode, the mathematical nitrogen and oxygen calculation models are adjusted according to the entered O2 %.  The Oxygen Limit Fraction bar graph tracks you exposure to Oxygen and alerts with visual and audible alarms if you oxygen toxicity level becomes too high.  The user definable alternative displays include O2%, maximum depth, temperature, actual PO2, current time and dive time values

With every dive deeper than 10 meters, the Stinger automatically includes a recommended safety stop in the depth range of 6 to 3 meters.  This three-minute countdown and a STOP label are shown in the center window instead of no-decompression time.

Stinger has high capacity logbook and profile memories, which can be viewed directly from the Stinger display.  The logbook contains four individual pages with detailed dive information such as dive entry time and date, dive number, max and average depths, dive time, personal adjustments, possible violation notations, temperature at max depth, surface interval time and scrolling dive profiles with bookmarks.
